Default '76 930turbo

I have 1976 930turbo with messed up VIN numbers.I will attach my thread , where,if you have a time, you can find whole story about the car.
Car was discovered in the storage with body kit from 959 on it.I took a car ,started full restoration ,but after half way through the work, we discovered that VIN number is not matching the car.Vin number does not match color of interior and exterior, does not match the production numbers from under the dash on driver side or behind the ashtray. Also after a lot of searching online i discovered that original VIN of the car is 9306700038,Vin that i have on the frame next to the fuel tank under the hood is 9306700661.If you can read the thread, that is on the end of this thread, youll be able to see why im 100% sure that my VIN is 038.
My question is how I can recover the story about the car how to find his history and previous owners and what happened with the car before was imported from Europe.Car was originally built in Switzerland

Cool, I looked at a white 77 last year that also had the 959 kit done to it, I guess that was popular at one time. Good luck.

Default previous owners

Have you already tried to call previous owners? I hope you have some papers to the car...
I always try to reconstruct history as accurate as possible. Every owner has to tell at least one story and sooner or later you'll get the answer...
If I can be of any help, just tell me. I have friends in Italy and Germany...

Default Switzerland

You should ask in switzerland for the previous owners.
just fill in this form: https://www.astra.admin.ch/dam/astra...ugdatenaa9.pdf
costs about 50 € but it is worth it.
You will get the whole history of this car in Switzerland. Name, address, dates,...
It's worth a try.

If you have friends in Switzerland and Germany and if they also work with a cars a would be really happy if you can ask them to find anything about this car.My friends don't know anything about cars there and I don't know what to tell them who to call and where to go
