Steel conversion slants
Hey guys
Never say never. Looking at a couple of dealer steel slant conversions, they're priced far lower than a 505 or SW understandably, also well below conventional 930s. Where do you guys see the value on these?
Not looking to convert to str fenders, rather would like another slant even if its not "real".

Chris, I think it comes down to condition and maintenance...just as with any other 930.
If the only things replaced were the fenders/rockers/vents, I personally would value it lower than an original car, but higher than one that had been molested and is missing OE parts [interior, wheels, cams, turbo, intercooler, exhaust].
Are the cars you're looking at missing any other parts?

TT Surgeon,
I think that if you find a steel conversion that strikes your fancy and meets your quality standards (for much less $) then you should go for it and enjoy it. For me the emotional part of owning these cars is more important than the authenticity/collectability, etc. I would personally be just as happy with a very nice steel SN set up in a nice way versus a genuine 505...just me. "Tribute" cars...

Looking at a couple not currently on the market, both dealer conversions, one close to stock otherwise, the other all the typical mods and a lot of ruf logo stuff.
Will advise
