Default It's back in and running.

From a split case, down to the crank, rebuild. I decided to put it back to complete stock. Poor car was down since last spring. It is running fat so she has to go back to the shop for some additional tuning. I think I am going to have them do it on there dyno. I am waiting on the last heatshield ( wasn't there when I bought it) Porsche has to put the bumper back on and finish the rest of the cosmetic odds and ends and compltete the break in.

Nice job, it's no small feat to return one of these old cars back to its original condition. Not much of a response from the crowd here, seems like the only posts that get a response these days are for sale ads.

Enjoy.

I put the stock intercooler back on mine last year & noticed the difference. I bet you really can tell it's a much different motor!

Looks good.

Dyno is the way to tune an engine quantitatively.

Dave, You got that right. Doesn't help that most of the stuff is unobtainium now.

Ghosteh, Big difference in the way it drives but it ain't bad...luv'n the stock clutch though.

Uber, You are right about the Dyno. I'm going to insist on that.

That had to have been one heck of a chore putting her back to stock (but tell us you didn't go back to the original rubber centered clutch disc). Good job!
Mine is currently pretty much stock (except for the muffler and CAT delete). No, it doesn't rock and roll like my previous 930 that I had done quite a lot to, but it still boogies down the road like no other car. And now I'm wrestling with doing mods again, but may wait awhile and who knows....maybe just leave her as she is??

I thought it was a KEP but it is a Sachs and looks to have a bit of life left. Which one it is I am not sure of yet. I will take some pics and post.

Mark it was like death of a thousand cuts and I was just the hunter gatherer. Its a stock spring centered clutch. I am going to sell the B&B long neck, headers, muffler, K27 7200 and the electronic boost controller if you know of anyone interested let me know. The clutch I would gift to someone.

My tail lights look horrid. I have to do something there.
