Well I've bought a few Porsches myself, and telling you the market in a 77 in reasonable condition is sky high right now. I would ask no less than 100k on that car. If you sell it for 61, then you will see it on eBay 24hrs later being sold for twice that amount.
Top gear just sold a 78 with some flaws for 149k, they bought it last week for 72k, for ex.
There is a whole nuther level if buyer making these deals right now. 100k is nothing to them....

Your 930 should sell in no time! Looks killer in silver.
It's crazy, 4 years ago there was a guy in KC that couldn't give away his 1976 930 for $20k. I paid $15.5 in 2003 for my 1980 and that was about the price they were going for in that $15k to $22k range.

Geez I thought this thread was a joke but you guys are serious!! Pardon my ignorance, but what makes the 77 930 so valuable? I haven't been following the resale market but had no idea the turbos were valued so high unless there's something very special or rare about this 77. I have an 81 930, wonder what it's worth? Owned it for 6 years with some minor mods and upgrades I've done in the past. Might be time to cash in!!

75-77 930s were 3.0 non-intercooled cars. They drive differently than the later 78+ 3.3 intercooled cars. What adds to their high value is the low production numbers as compared to the 3.3 run from 78-89.

I've owned three 79's and I recently purchased a 77. The 77 has really surprised me, I wish I had driven one years ago when they were still cheap.

JFort, try and keep it. There are a few others of us 9146 and 930 owners over at 914world, we would hate to see her go !
And you will beat yourself up in a few years , and need to hunt down another one.
Good luck in your decision.

Notice the ice green metallic car auction was ended before bidding was completed. I'd bet that car went for close to 6 figures,

So far, I am keeping the car. Depends on how new job (sole practitioner attorney) goes. Great car and I know I'll never get another one. Sold a '73S once and have always regretted it. Don't want a repeat. But I'll let this group know if that changes.

Smart move, keep it if at all possible. I stupidly sold my 505 slant, next owner flipped the car. The biggest car mistake of my life.
