Default Footwell blower resistor

Hi guys
I have a UK model 930 turbo LE,1989 with autoheat ,the footwell resistor pack ,which controls the fan speed from the 10 position central switch is
not in the position shown in the Bentley manual ,i.e. under right side air vent in trunk.(or anywhere close)
Anyone know where its at, need to swap it out as it may be bad.
Thanks
Paul

The footwell resistor pack controlls the AC evap fan in my car (3 position switch). You have to remove the wooden floorboard on the passenger side to get to it. It is housed in a plastic vent.

Is this what you are refering to? Im sure its different on your car as the steering wheel is on that side I guess. Sorry not much help.

Default Footwell blowers

Hi Aeshen
Sorry you are talking about the resistor pack that as you say controls the evaporator fan motor in the hvac system not the twin footwell blowers that are also controlled by another resistor pack, thanks anyway.

The green cylindrical resistor ,which is about 4 inches long ,(NOT the one for the air conditioning) is not in the central heat control box as suggested or under the dashboard as the Bentley manual says , so if anyone has had experience of where it actually is , I would greatly appreciate it.
Thx guys.

I’m trying to find the resistor pack as well. Wherever they have placed it, I don’t think they’re getting a proper heat sink there. If you’ve found out where the resistors are, please do share as I’ve been trying to find them without any luck and I really don’t want to open most of the wooden panels unnecessarily as they get squeaky in the long turn. I hope it’s not much of a hassle replacing them after finding them. Hoping to hear from you soon on this thread.

There must be someone who has spied the position of the 87/89 turbo footwell blower resistor in there dismantling of this car.
