Default '87 Turbo for sale

I have been labled an "early Turbo" snob but I have a flawless low mileage '87 for sale.

The recent market has shown that documented 1st gen Turbos in this condition with this mileage have gone through the roof and low mileage unmolested 2nd gen cars, really nice examples with documents are starting to rise with the tide. There are a ton of cheaper cars available but not in this condition ! I have been watching all of the usual sites; ebay, rennlist, 6speed, etc, etc... and it's not often that one comes across a nicer, cleaner example, with lower mileage and NO stories.

Specifics:
WPOJBO939HSO50407
One owner
26,000 miles
Southern California car from day one (with title)
Factory sport seats
Optional Porsche Sport steering wheel (rare - rare - rare)
non smoker
Always kept indoors from day one
99% Original paint ( I never say 100%)
No hits
2012 PPI inspection
Books & Receipts included
Original intercooler included
Original exhaust included
Tool kit complete & perfect
Jack & spare perfect

Non OEM mechanical items:
AJ intercooler
exhaust

2012 service Details:
Clutch adjustment
Flush brake system
Rebuilt all 4 brake calipers
Replaced all brake pads
New C/D Box & Coil
AC system charged
4 CV joint boots replaced
Factory oil & filter
Replaced all belts
Replaced engine lid struts
New Battery (April '12)

This car is 15 minutes from the Port of Baltimore and 20 minutes north of BWI airport

$ 65,000 U.S.

email with questions or offers pmgsportatverizon.net

Thanks,
Chuck

Beautiful!!! Too bad it's red (sorry, white or black only for me).

Not often you find a low mileage unmolested premium example. All the best of luck that someone will snarf it up. Hopefully is gets driven and doesn't end up languishing in some car collection.

Thanks for the kind words guys !

I've received emails asking about the AJ intercooler which is an abbreviation for Alan Johnson.

NOT the Alan Johnson of drag racing fame but Alan Johnson Porsche in San Diego.

During the 70's and 80's, Alan Johnson Porsche was one of several prominent dealers (Brumos, Polak, Holbert, etc... ) that was receiving "Help" from the factory in racing. He had a successful motor-sports partnership with Porsche for many years.

At that time, Alan Johnson Porsche started producing his own intercoolers for his 935 program. the quality was so far above the factory OE pieces at the time, that other teams started requesting them. Alan Johnson Porsche formed AJ-USA to sell his intercoolers to the public.

There are dozens of aftermarket 930 intercoolers available, but most look like they are chinese knock-offs when put beside an AJ ......... the quality and finish are impeccable and only a few intercoolers (RUF, kremer, AJ )have real racing pedigree and they are period correct ...... very "Old School" !

Thanks for asking.

Thanks Chris.

Every '86,'87, etc... should have come stock with this steering wheel instead of the standard "928 pre-airbag" looking wheel !

What a stunning 930..!! Also agree to the earlier post that this one gets driven rather than "collected"....

Wonderful 930, Chuck!! Good luck with the sale, and hope it finds a great new owner soon..!!

Fellow Early Turbo owners,

It appears as though the '87 has sold to a Doctor in the Balto-Washington area.

He is a Rennlist "Lurker" but not a member(I'm trying to change that !).

He was originally looking for a 356 but couldn't find a good car at a reasonable price and says he always liked the early Turbos, so he jumped !

I knew that this was a good car and thought that it would/should sell quickly but Sheeeeeeeez !

Thanks for everyone for all the great vibes, this is a cool site !

The market for good, clean, restored or original ( even lightly modded/period correct) cars is on the upswing.
