Default Yellow wire FROM cold start valve?

I know the cold start valve is fired off from the yellow wire from the starter when cranking over the engine, but the wire yellow wire also leaves the CSV and goes to another plug shown in the pictures, what does it feed? Take a look at the pictures. From the starter to the CSV to a plug comming out of the harnes. Where does it go?

Are you talking about the third picture down? Thise look like the wire to the (thermo time switch) ? located on the left timing chain cover.

The yellow wire goes to the starter and cold start valve.

The yellow wire from the starter is feeding 2 things, what else does it feed? Look at pic 2, the yellow wire plits and goes to the main harnes close to the 14 pin connector and comes out by it self, ( a yellow wire from the CSV along with a red w/black stripe. Where does this go? The thermo time switch is fed from the 14 pin connector already.

It goes to the second spade on the starter solenoid. There are two terminals on there.

I think your misunderstanding my post, the yellow wire starts at the starter on the 2nd post, then to the CSV( see pic 2, the yellow wire splits), then continues on from there to the plug I am holding in my hand in the 3rd picture. this comes out very close to the 14 pin connector all by itself, it does not go to thermo time switch.

Maybe I am not, but if your question is what is the 3rd picture this is to the cold start switch (thermo time valve). The thermo time switch is not fed from the 14 pin connector only the red/black wire going to the switch. The switch uses the yellow line form the starter as a signal and is closed loop in the engine wiring harness.

The switch is grounded via the cover as you can see the cold start switch is timed and only cuts the 12 volt source to the CSI.

Stephen, I found the (lost connection) of the wire in question, now whats it for? The Thermo time switch has another plug going to it with no Yellow wire (2 reds and a brown). Posting pic's of the 2 prong switch, Im sure you can tell me what it is and what it does.

I guess I am not helping. I am calling the cold start switch the thermo time valve. Actually Porsche calls any valve that uses a winding a thermo time valve. But for clarification the red and yellow wires do to that switch which is the cold start timed switch. When starting it goes on for 9 seconds then off. Then on then off as not to flood the system.

The other is covered by Mr. A930Rocket. Most don't have the dist time valve anymore. Rare!
