Default My new 88 G50 3.2 - Marine Blue Mettalic

I searched for many months during the back half of 2016 before posting a want ad here on RL, and a dealer/member eventually hit me up. I ended up buying his 1 owner car and negotiating a price that reflected the top end rebuild it needed after a PPI.
I was looking for silver or venetian blue cars, but had never seen this somewhat rare Marine Blue Metallic. Couldn't be happier I found this color. Just gorgeous! I did a full three step paint correction this past weekend using Adam's Polishes kit, and the paint really pops now. So glossy it looks wet.
In the end with a little patience, i got a great condition G50 car, fresh top end rebuild, and I had all new Elephant Racing suspension installed along with sticky Yokohoma AD08Rs. I asked for a bit more rake and some rear spacers, and am really happy with the aggressive stance.
I just installed the black Carrera side script tonight for a sporty retro look. She's getting a new (old looking) Continental head unit installed tomorrow morning, and a Fabspeed muffler when it finally arrives. What a fun project in just the past two weeks since the car got here. Thanks to everyone who answered my noob questions along the way the past many months. I'm already loving my first air-cooled 911!

Anyway, here she is.
with the new side script

Very cool. Love it.

....and where in San Francisco? My grandparents owned coffee shops with my favorite being on Market Street, downtown. My Grandpa Bray was born there just after the 1906 earthquake.

Very nice care.....good luck with it!

Where did you purchase the Carrera side script? I may be interested in it for my '87.

Very nice. Gawd, I'd sacrifice a body part to have my '84 Carrera back in the garage.

good eye! i was happy to learn the original owner went to 7"/8" i didn't know the significance until after I bought the car, but a huge bonus as I've learned.. i have 7MM spacers on the rear now, but might try and go wider, i just don't want to roll the fenders or rub the original paint.
