Default 1984 exhaust and shifter

Looking for some advise to tweak my 1984 turbo look 911.
I want to upgrade the short shifter and get a more throaty exhaust.
Any ideas or suggestions?

In my '77 (with '84 motor) turbo look:
WEVO shifter
M&K pre-muffler and 1 in 2 out Carrera muffler. A bit too loud, so you might want to go to 1 in 1 out.

To keep more original, consider SSI headers if you want/need heat, and Dansk muffler (Patrick Motorsports have both I think), I would keep "one out" or at least not cut into rear valance, run without valance as option since the steel ones are impossible/very hard to find.
Many short shift kits depending on your budget, go with brand name.
Good luck.

get the Porsche short shifter that was an option - it's still an original part - great upgrade - reduces length of shift action while making it more precise - remember it's still an old style transmission.

Go w/ the Porsche short shifter like I did and exhause wise, you should also follow my fabspeed mods I listed in my signature. Keep your old system though, in-case you want to revert back to stock.
