so far here's my rank of cars I just can't wait to drive, the GT4 and G-Body are stock:
997 RS
964
GT4
G-Body

Everyone looks for something different in a car, they are all fun to drive, but the type of experience I like is ranked above. Maybe GT4 could jump up once I mod the hell out of it. I like a car that is very direct, very visceral, and feels very "connected" If you've ever had the chance to drive any iteration of a 997RS you'd see why people go nuts about them.

BTW garage space can be solved. You're in austin, flex warehouse space is 'cheap' !!!!

Spyerx- totally agree on the 997 RS, I miss my pumpkin all the time. I should have kept it and I wouldn't be in this situation. I would be totally content with it as it checks all the boxes for me. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed because i don't want to buy back in at these prices.

930 Turbo is definitely on my list- I love the look. My only concern is the maintenance on them. I already have a track car that keeps me busy with repairs. I'm also torn- look at 930's that are completely original for resale or get one that has been updated and is a much better driver but won't be as desirable on the resale front. decision, decisions.....

I think I'm just going to sell outright, test drive a few different models and see if anything speaks to me.

You find a 964 more visceral and connected than a torsion bar car?

Yup. Much more so. Keep in mind my 964 is complete solid monoball suspension and coilovers. G is stock with sport dampers only. Stock for stock might have given edge to the g.

Speaking of icons, it hardly gets more iconic than the 930. In good shape, these are stop-in-your-tracks-hold-the-phone-pull-over-stop-and gawk machines. Were I considering your position, I'd go 930 over 911 for that special "weekender" car

Good luck with your decision. Personally your GT4 (minus the carbon stuff and nav) is an awesome modern GT like machine as per some owners I know and almost every review by expert journalists.
Aircooled cars especially prior 1990 are awesome and raw and suprisingly easy and inexpensive to maintain and insure.

Air cooled- interested in 84-89 Carrera 3.2, preferably w/ the m491 wide body option.

PM me if you have something interesting and want to trade it, + $$, toward the GT4. I have more pics available.

Thanks

I don't think you can wrong either way. They're all great, they all have their own character. Variety is the flavor of life.
