Default Help: Finding a reputable painter/body shop CT/New England

Hello all! New to the forum, and the Porsche community(FINALLY). I recently picked up a 1979 911sc. I plan on getting it repainted(a factory color) in the coming years here, and am hoping to get somea dvise on where to go and what to look for. The car has various, small areas of rust (nothing too serious), so I will be wanting the whole shebang!

I am EXTREMLY particular when it comes to my vehicles cleanliness and their paint... All that being said, sorry to impose on some purists, but I wont be getting the repaint done in the factory color of the car(Petrol Blue Metallic). I have always loved Porsche's Greens, and have narrowed the color down to what I want. It is a much newer than Impact Bumper color option though.

What I want is Malachite Green Metallic (2B5). This color is gorgeous to my eyes, and I love the transition it shows from bright to dark, given the lighting circumstances.

Any advise/insight/references, on going about and finding that perfect place that will match this color as well as they do in Zuffenhausen??? Again I am located in Connecticut, but am open to places in New England.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Take a look at Automobile Associates in Canton CT. I haven't done a big job with them yet but so far I'm very happy. I attended a PCA monthly meeting there where some guy came to talk about paint.

Hey, thanks!! I'll check them out.

Edit: So these guys are the real deal. They seem very legit, and all their resto's are Porsche... We'll see what they have to say!

They're work and level of detail is impeccable. You'll do well to chose them.

Another Auto Associates believer here, they did some work on my 993 C4. They do it all, body, paint, and all aspects of mechanical work, even racecar prep. Be prepared, the best does not come cheap.

God, I know... But perfection has a price, I guess. That's where the beauty of being a part-time student, whilst having just started my career, along with still having to upkeep my e46 ZHP to my obsessive standards, comes into play

Will be talking with them at Auto Associates after work today.. Thanks again, all!

If you want the best paint you may have to go to NJ. You many also have to wait a couple of years before they can get to your car. The Paterek Brothers are simply one of the best paint shops in the world.

How much do you want to spend?

Looks like they really know what they're doing, decades of experience to support! They look great, but seeing as there is such a well rounded, reputable shop 45min from my house, I will most likely end up going with Automobile Associates... Thanks a ton for the recommendation though, they are most certainly in my memory for the future.
