I keep hoping EVs and fuel economy considerations will help promote 15" wheels.

The huge rims thing is also a bit of a fashion stmt. so might change

15's aren't coming back except for competition use so thats something to remember.

Large wheels and low-profile tires are engineered to reduce rolling resistance and thats all part of complying with the 2025 CO2 mandate.

Those of us with classic cars that need 15" tires, will likely be offered various boutique ones with the attending premium prices that reflect the limited production volumes.

Sure! I am sure that you will want to put skinny, low rolling resistance tires on your Porsche. Because a Prius and a 911 have the same performance characteristics.
