Default Porsche Stereo

does anyone have a Porsche CD-1 stereo head unit? My understanding is they are circa late 1980's, made by Alpine but labeled Porsche CD-1. Been looking everywhere, spoke with the guys at SW in Perth Amboy, still no luck
the unit is installed in my '89 951 (partner of my '87 911 coupe), I've also posted on 944 forum, no luck. all i want is a copy of the operator's manual or al least how to set the clock, thank you

Am not sure if this is the same unit in my '89 - 951..... I think mine is a Blaupunkt with the 10 speaker stereo, but need to look. It's at my other home a ways away from where I type this response.
( sorry for the un-sureness of my turbo unit. To be truthful, I never play the stereo as I usually drive listening to the symphony of the drivetrain )

I will also look at the unit in my '88 Carrera parked beside it on the chance THAT Porsche has this CD-1 unit. ( think it too is a Blaupunkt ).

IF it's the same unit, I will photocopy the entire owner's manual for the sound system and send it your way. Be back with you in a couple of days ~

thank you mrgreenjeans, i appreciate your follow-up. i too rarely or never have the stereo on (same goes for my '87 911)! i'm obsessing about the time read out on the clock on the radio, it does not match the accurate time set on the dash clock.

Sorry, just checked both units and they are both Blaupunkt.

Perhaps someone else here has the stereo unit you are searching for.......

Best wishes on getting your clock set. ( I remember a Panasonic unit I had in an '82 VW Rabbit which was a killer sound system.... it had the same deal with the clock being off. I found the setting by reading the manual was to push two buttons in synchronous fashion and holding the buttons down till the numbers quit flashing, then letting off of one button. Perhaps this is similar in yours ? )
