Default Paint Code Question

I have a 1982SC made in September of 81 according to the VIN sticker on the drivers door jamb. My car also has a paint code sticker in the engine compartment near the latch plate. Am I missing some other area there should be a paint code? I notice a lot of other SCs have a small metal tag inside the drivers door area between the hinges. My car does not have this nor a sticker under the hood. A small thing I know but just checking to see if something is missing from an originality standpoint. My search seems to indicate that Porsche put the codes in a lot of variable places over the years. Anyone else have a US spec 82 produced around the same time that can verify?
Thanks

There is some debate on actual date hood stickers were introduced but pretty certain an 82 came without one.

Until 1980 all 911's had a metal tag on the inner door pillar. In 1981 to mid 1982 Porsche moved the color tag sticker in the rear engine compartment (see the photo of my 1982 911SC in ZinnMettalic). Starting in mid 1982 Porsche introduced the white 3x3" sticker under the hood that listed VIN, color and option codes. At that time they started placing the paint code sticker on the passenger side of the trunk under the carpet.

Here is my 82, produced 10/81:

Sounds like your car is correct.
