Upholstery Shop recomendation
Looking to reupholster a pair of 1974 911 OEM leather sports seats. I want them to look as they left the factory and would like to get the same leather grain if possible. Any recommendations on the venders who advertise in Pano or ones you have used is appreciated?
Leaning towards having someone do it as opposed to DIY kit but open to recommendations. Thanks

Your location may be important as shipping these around could get very expensive.
A possibility is find your own covers online. ( the actual seat material that covers the sponge) and have a pro install it for you.

Personally, I would not buy pre-done seat covers. A good upholstery shop can fabricate from any material you choose for close to the same cost with better results.
If this sounds illogical it isn't... they buy exactly the leather you want in the grain and color you want, cut and fit it exactly to your seats.
My guy said it's quicker to cut and sew the patterns than to try to fit badly sown covers to the seats.... makes sense.

I'm trying to decide what to do with a set as well. Some idiot dyed my red at some point. They are actually in good shape. Just dyed red. And then dyed back to black on top of that!

Thanks guys, vinyl is NOS that I sourced and the center section is a Tartan I chose from Scottish Weaver. The original style tartan is out there, and I considered it but after laying down a sample and 6 other samples from Scottish Weaver this one stood out and the colors worked. These are going into a hotrod I am building so I went a bit freestyle. Check out Scottish Weaver's website under the upholstery section, tons to pick from, can order samples.

Speedster911 what year car are these seats going in? What color are you going to do them in, and do you want to keep the inserts one of the original options? I can send you a pic from the dealer guide with all of the material options if that helps.
