Default Titanium Lug Nuts for Air-Cooled Cars

We have been making titanium lug bolts for the water-cooled Porsches for a little over 5 months. The response has been incredible and we have enjoyed great sales. Our sales growth has been the result of our aggressive pricing, the quality of our product, our incredible free shipping program and our customer service.

We have had a lot of inquiries to make lug nuts for the air-cooled cars so we now have them. Just like with our water-cooled bolts, we have copied the Porsche part exactly with the only difference being the material. We have noticed that many Porsche owners are using titanium nuts that have a conical seat, this is not the correct lug nut for a Porsche but it is themes common nut available because it does fit a wider variety of cars. We have made our nuts exactly like the factory Porsche part with the correct radius seat that the Porsche uses.

We make both the open style lug nut as well as the closed style lug nut. The advantages of the open style lug nut is that they are 40% lighter than the factory lug nut. The closed style factory lug nut is made of aluminum so it is already extremely light but the titanium lugs that we offer are also extremely light and do not get malformed like the aluminum ones from Porsche.

PRICE- $260.00 for a set of 20 with FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING

I have the "soft" lug sockets that supposedly do not scratch or damage lug Porche bolts.

I am assuming they will fit over and can be properly used with your open lugs.

I am thinking of them for my 80 and 07 cars?

Thanks.

Yes, your sockets will work with these as well.

The same prep for mounting....a little bit of anti seize on the ball, none on the threads?

Do you have a picture of the open top mounted on a stock length 911 SC stud?

No, I do not have a picture of that. You can use the exact same method you used to install your stock lugs to install these.

Ok, then do the stock 911 SC lug bolts stand proud of the open top lug nut?

To my recolection yes, but not by much. I have open nuts on 40mm studs now and used to have them on stock studs. I wanted the studs to stick out past the nuts to look 'Outlaw' and they didn't. The 40mm studs can be installed in the rear without pulling the spindle out of the hub. Now I have a 13mm~ spacer and still have lots of stud showing. In the front the 40mm really stick out with my 3mm spacers. I have open steel (plated with yellow zinc) nuts from a local VW shop that were $2.50 ea IIRC.

I would think anti-sieze would be crucial with three different metals involved.

If you can provide specifics on the bolt exposure for your open nuts for stock SC and 7.1 GT3 wheels, I will considering purchasing for both cars. I do not want to change out the studs on either car.
Thank you.

I don't have an answer for your question so I cannot provide you with the information that you are looking for. I can tell you that these are the exact same dimensions of the factory Porsche nuts in every way.

If you are using the factory steel open nut or the factory aluminum closed nut than these will fit the exact same on your car.

That's what I read as well, in the Bentley manual.

Funny though, the owner's manual for the Cayman says Optimoly on the threads and on the seal but NOT on the ball.
