Default 83 911 Euro Spec Question - odometer

Hi All. Just wondering if anyone may know what odometer was in an 83 Euro Spec car? Was it in miles or km's? It's in miles now but just want to confirm if it is original or was switched to comply back then?
Thanks for your help!

Ok, thank you. So given that I don't know where this car came from and is a LHD, it is safe to say that the Odometer/Speedo were switched when brought to U.S? Was that customary?

There should be a country code on options list (if you have it) - Germany is C00, UK is C16 .....

it may not even be right to say " switched" .. It was built with the hardware required for Country of destination.

A Euro spec LHD would have miles for odometer though?

no, the speedo, odo and trip are all in Km/Hr and Km respectively. when I brought mine over in the early '80's I just sent the whole dash unit unit to North Hollywood Speedometer

They converted the face calibration and internals to rear in Mi/hr and Mi.

Exactly, which is why the post above was confusing... Thanks
