Default About a 1986 Targa roof

Greetings from Bulgaria!

I don't want to take a lot of your time, so - long story short :

Somehow the targa top of my friend's 1986 Targa, which I occasionally drive, disappeared. I don't know how it happened, was it stolen or broken - but it's missing. He, being a very busy guy asked me to help him with finding a replacement one. So, can someone help me with information about the possible solutions. We can go to the local Porsche dealer, and ask them for prices, and we will do that. What else can be done? I couldn't find something on ebay in Europe at the moment. Are there any replacement ones? The car is driven very rarely, so even a non-folding one will do. Are there any companies, which can build one? I found this on Pelican parts - http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg4.htm#item9 , but honestly, 22k is a huge amount of money and nearly half of the price of the car.

Thank you!

That has to be a typo for sure!!! I'd call Pelican to confirm.

Unfortunately, that pricing is correct. That includes the top and the liner.

I just spoke with someone from pelican parts, they too were surprised at the price for the Targa TopAssembly they had listed. The gentleman checked to see if any had been ordered or purchased and of course, none had. He wouldn't out right say it was a typo, but that's what I found out.

Yes, I double checked to confirm it is indeed the correct pricing and it is. No typo. I was pretty surprised when I saw it as well.

methinks you need to look on Hagerty's value tool to see how much our cars have jumped in the last 3 months

Haha, well aware of the growing "bubble". I've already had mine recently valued at close to $40k.
