Default Anyone able to check out a 911 Austin TX?

Good morning!

I'm currently contemplating the switch from my 996 to an air cooled classic (69 Targa T), and have a 911 in Austin TX I was hoping someone might be able to go take a look at for me?

I'm out in CA and unable to go examine said car, but happy to help coordinate if there is anyone local who knows what they are looking for to act as an unbiased third party.

I would of course be willing to pay 1 of three ways:
A nice bottle of scotch or whiskey of your choosing (Preferred method)
A nice bottle of wine of your fancy
via Paypal whatever is reasonable for your time if you don't consume any of the above two options.

Alternatively, if anyone knows any good independent shops with a mechanic I would appreciate that, and maybe I can simply pay a mechanic to drive out and take a look / conduct a mobile PPI.

Any help is appreciated!

Michael

If any one has any opinions on the matter, I'm all ears.

Here is the rennlist ad for the car I'm considering:
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...911-targa.html

The seller so far has communicated punctually, all be it challenging to understand, he sounds possibly european. My senses tell me it's way too good of a deal to be legit, but he is giving me an address for someone to come over and conduct a PPI, and we've exchanged 10+ emails so far.

He's giving me just enough to to keep me interested, but here's where i'm really concerned.

This appears to be the same car posted last week for 3 times the price (much more in line with what I would expect of this car)

(Also if someone this is legit and someone tries to snake it out from me, I would be very disappointed! Hopefully that's not an issue)!

What do you guys think? Got to be a scam right? Too good to be true? What is the value of 911 Ts these days, I know the S's are going for 100 and up, but what is a T worth? Any help is appreciated!

Definitely looks like a fraud to me. Priced ridiculously low + pictures ripped from another ad = textbook scam. Have you checked the address on google maps? I wonder how he's gonna get away with it if you find a local that can go check it out.

Bear in mind that "sounds european" very well might be this son of a beach who in fact is European, or one of his acolytes:

who probably also was this guy:

Definitely appears to be number 2.

Good call on the links, I'll walk from this one. If it's too good to be true it is.

After a bit more sleuthing, that car was definitely not legit. I've passed and hope everyone else has as well.
