Default Aircooled in Las Vegas

I have been in Las Vegas for three days and I am somewhat dissapointed in cars I have seen during my stay. Few panameras and cayannes, two new 911 turbos, one cayman, one ferrari, two gallardos and couple of vw beetles.. not much for aicooled porsche lover, mostly boring new mustangs and camaros.

But this night I saw nice red G-model 911 at parking lot near hotel/casino Luxor. It had Rennsport reunion stickers in both doors and some other tapings on front and rear hoods. License plates were from Kentucky.

I'll leave at friday evening so there is still change to see some interesting vehicles

Edit: I forgot one Maybach that I have never seen before.

Way too hot for most air-cooled oldies there. ....and all the supercars you see are rentals.

Yeah, it has been really hot this week. Not the best weather for old aircooled with crappy/no AC.

Default VEGAS

We took our brand new 1984 911 to Vegas in June 1984 and when we got back we took the car to Circle P&A and told them we had COOL air blowing NOT COLD air blowing and we were told "COOL IS GOOD-COLD WON'T HAPPEN!" We then only took 911 in winter..................

What muffler did you get and does it HAVE to have the cat bypass?

This is Helga! Had her restored three years ago and have put almost 40k miles since. She does have the upgraded a/c but our summers are brutal!

That red one with stickers near casino hotel Luxor? I have couple of photos of her on my camera. Too bad that the owner was not there..

If you are still in Vegas you should check out the Cobra factory....also the owner of the car you described parked at the Luxor has posted pics of his trip on Pelican. Cheers

Not true! My '83 SC Euro runs great in the 100 - 110 degree ambient.
190-210 and the 210 is max if I'm flogging it.

I visited Shelby at Friday. Some nice cars even though I'm not that much in to american muscle stuff. But those Daytonas, Cobras and classic Mustangs are beautiful. Thanks for the hint!

Here is the photo of that only aircooled 911 I spotted during my stay:

I happened to have bought my 3.2 in Boulder city (near Vegas) about eight years ago.....even then, there didn't seem to have much air cooled stuff rolling around. Strangely enough, my 993 when new was originally sold in Vegas but I bought the car in British Columbia (where I live). It seems many new exotics and semi exotics are bought there but quickly find a home elsewhere after a couple of years. Cheers

BTW I've always loved the Cobra, the museum and factory are an interesting place for car guys.....even if they weren't air cooled LOL
