Hey guys does anyone know if there's somewhere I can find out more about my 1987 911's black paint? My father has had this car for many years and we're looking to respray some pieces and polish the others.

Any clue what type of paint these Porsche's came with? What should I be using to really compound out those deep scratches, what is too much?

My black 85 has a single stage type paint, no clear coat. It is my understanding that most other colour options came with base/clear type. Cheers
