If the air cooled cars are bring that kind of money in Hong Kong, I'm guessing a lot of U.S. cars are ending up over there, unless the left hand drive thing is a problem.

Yes they command quite a premium, many imported cars from the UK, Japan and Aus. But only RHD. Mine is Hong Kong from new and I did look into shipping a UK one, though the G50s are getting quite scarce now over there. Aus not an option as they are getting rare there now and commanding big $$. UK turned out not to work either because of the initial licensing fee of 40+%
