If you feel this one is the strongest and faster it is likely because it had been well maintain and engine is very healthy. I'd say go for it before you regret it.

I am looking at the exterior shots in your first post once again, man the car looks good! Those looks to be 16X9 fuchs in the rear and they look darn good with the polish lips and caps, and the Carrera strip put a finishing touch to the car.

the second picture looks typical. Can't imagine they are trying to hide a huge amount of damage when the rest of the car looks so good. Worst case the tank support gets replaced. Best case you scrape off the undercoat, grind off the rust, weld in a small patch and re-coat it. Not a big deal.
Not sure what I'm seeing in the upper center of the first picture. Is it a patch of rust under the paint?

not sure why everybody gets so excited about this car. It is covered in undercoating and not particular clean. My car looks better and it is a 100k miles car at half the price.
Not even sure if I find the SSIs a plus on such an expensive car. You kneed to know that the whole exhaust system is no longer factory. Nice for a track rat but... Snorkel of the air filter missing, disconnected wear sensors and so on is not acceptable at such a price .

I am sure there a better examples out there, but for a 28yo car resided in HK this one is in exceptional condition. I've seen cars half it's age (or 1/4) in much worst condition.

You don't want to know.

I understand that this is a special market.
However I would not believe someone telling me this a extremely well maintained car. I know I sound negative, but I want to help on minimizing disappointments...

Tying up the brake sensors usually is done if you are tracking the car.
Between the strut tower brace, the shocks and the sensors I would guess someone had some fun with this car either autocross or track or both...not that there is anything wrong with that!
