Question: why the plexiglass (or other material?) with circular holes beneath the rear deckled grill?

That is something Rob did to his original 69-R creation back in the day.

Look at the orange "69 POR". People used to chase him down and offer him rediculous amounts of cash for that car.

Thanks for the link! The plexiglass cover is cool, but not sure why they put it on the singer below the grill. I guess it helps keep some water out vs just the grill? Or maybe it's homage to his '69? I've got to believe there is a functional reasoning behind it.

Don't confuse a 911 and reason. Try to explain the use of quilted leather as sound deadening in the engine bay. See? Simply homage to 69 POR.

Truly a thing of beauty - enjoy in good health!

I'm hoping to visit Singer in the next week or so and see it all for myself.

The idea of having an air-cooled 4.0L engine in that thing is mind blowing. World class power to weight ratio, retro interior, modern suspension bits.....love it. Neck snapping love it.

Beautiful! Congrats.

If you're up to it I'd love to get a Singer in front of my camera sometime, you're not too far from me
