It's a crazy market for sure. I agree with the assessment that this is a correction on the quality driver cars. 964 prices were stupid low for years. I am kicking myself for not grabbing an Amethyst 1992 C2 with two tone leather interior that a friend would have taken $24K for back in 2010.

I am just hoping the local tax authorities will not catch onto this.
My annual property tax bill for the Targa is about $65
County has my Targa valued around $6,000.

In 1964 I passed on a Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing. The dealer was asking $3,600 for the car and it had over 10,000 miles on it. I told him he was out of his mind to ask that much money for a used car.

My father in law had a chance to buy a used 300SL convertible in 1965. Bought the 356 SC instead. Still has it. But he traded in his Speedster for it.

bottomless hshaha, i live inside my cars.
i had 3 BSR ;-)
mainly b/c i often can't find my keys, so with 3, chances are one of them has the right key. now i just leave the key inside the car. i find that easier to keep track. my wife also thinks i am not right in the head.... too much air up there.
dont we all. but they are $ and hard to find.
i did find one of the most well done 964C2 but i was outbid by one of our fellow FL gangsta's... in fact, i was DRIVING it with the seller when he outbid me over the phone with the seller next to me!!!! few hours later, he called me and told me he bought an $$$ 964... "sheet, you bought the gray car in so cal..." he says how did you know. my reply was "only idiot like you would outbid moron like me"... oh well at least the car is going to right home.
it's a friend's project actually. i am just the catalyst... or should i say the drug dealer.

We sold low mileage Mercedes 560sl's in our showroom 20 years ago for MUCH LESS than we sell them for today.
They haven't appreciated as much as air cooled 911's though but their on the way.
Economics 101....Supply & demand.

That miniature engine looks incredible, but 50 grand? Wow...
