Fantastic. The best part about owning these cars is doing the work ourselves.

Everyone always freaks out about how much they cost. I asked a guy in San Diego yesterday morning if I could look at his car. He asked me if it was gonna cost him $100 per hour. What a line.

A similar thing happened to me on a 928 I once owned. This taught me a lesson to keep all my old parts until the job was done so I could compare and/or re-use if needed

Glad to see you got it done.

PS: Oftentimes a tappy valve is a happy valve. You can over-fix the valves if not careful.

Hi Scott, That's excellent advice regarding old parts. Also, I brought my car to a local mechanic who has worked on and has owned these cars. He said everything sounded fine to him. That's all I needed to hear. Had a few great spins since then. I'd like to thank you for all your help on the forums and the PMs. It's been a really good experience. Cheers

Spun my car years ago and again about a month ago. First time was getting on the freeway with 20 year old stock suspension. Shocked the crap out of me. This time it was expected.... or should I say it was likely to happen. Was pushing the car way to hard on a rear end that was way too stiff. This last weekend, with everything fresh and dialed in perfect, she wasn'tspinnin' no mater what iI did.

the only time i did it was coming into a wet round about too hot . it was even too much for my LSD to handle and i was pushing out towards a curb on a wet road , i decided to lift and bite the bullet .. ..spun out ot the roundabout one exit early between to curbed islands .. the only thing hurt was my pride.. progressed home very carefully with my tail between my legs to change underwear.
