30-40k miles

Checking a car at Holt Motorsports, acceptable mileage and price

RPM Sportscars perfect cars, but too expensive IMHO

MGM has also perfect cars, but more expensive than RPM !

Where else to look ?

Thanks for your info

The type of places you mentioned are the 1% cars where in most cases you will pay double or more the price. If you are looking for 993 or older 911 with 30-40K miles expect to pay top $. For example, an average 87 911 with 80K+ miles is in the $30's, but a low mileage on at Holt or Sloan would be over $70K.

if you are looking for a 30-40 K 911 you are looking for a time capsule. the newest 911 is 1989 , unless you are looking for a 964 or 993 .

The air cooled markert in General is crazy right now .
I guess the question is what is " too expensive" for a time capsule for you. Any cars that are low milage like that are snapped up from unsuspecting sellers quickly and given very high price tags.

The market where you are looking places like Sloan and Canepa should be on your list. And of course Pano.

No affiliation, but I saw this one on Pelican yesterday, might be worth looking into.

Wow, if i were the seller at $46,100 , I'd have given the buyer one of my kids too. Why would you not accept that price? Why?....because owners are still getting suckered into overpriced repairs. I don't want to know what they paid for "ported heads" or "big cams" Who does that to a street car and expects to get their money back out of it? Idiots.

That is definitely a very nice Carrera - in fact I wish I had it. But to me the market has not reached the price he is asking. I too think at $46K that was it. I would not have paid $46K -so I think he really should have considered that offer. Beautiful car.

Anyone know who Howard S is or where he has posted his car for sale, he mentioned that he has his car up for $55k and doesn't think he is going to get that much for it (in the comment section of the blog I posted earlier), sounds like a reasonable chap!
