4 or 4S as a DD vs 2
Anyone use their 4 or 4S as a DD even in the winter with moderate snow or ice? Do you change to snow tires? It would be nice to be able to use one car and not switch…Currently I have a base 2015 911 MT and I love driving it and looking for an excuse to go to the 4 or 4S and sell my 335i and save a bit of $. Thanks!

you are in the totally wrong forum
this is for air cooled very early cars, i would suggest though you go to the Canada Regional forum as this is discussed a lot as many with modern cars drive them all winter and that is a hotly discussed topic.
Good luck.

I recently purchased a 2015 Targa 4S to replace my Boxtster S. I recommend winter tires regardless of snow, as long as you will drive at temperatures in the 40s or lower. The summer tires are too hard for cold weather, and the Boxster was a little too easy to break loose on dry pavement on summers in the cold. I bought an extra set of wheels and winters for the Targa and the difference is amazing. It's an absolute blast to drive in snow and will easily make its way through snow higher than the chin spoiler. Ride quality suffered in cold weather on summers but remained good with the winters. Given that this is the wrong forum Please feel free to email me if you have questions.

This is totally OT, but since the point was raised, tires, not drive configuration determine performance.
I used my 84 3.2 as a DD for 15 years, and put full Conti snows on all 4 wheels. They suck in the dry and they suck in the rain, but in the snow, I could drive right by knucle-heads in 4x4 pickups with the wrong tires.
