Default Cabriolet rear window on 89

16 years ago I owned a 1989 Cab, then sold to my brother in law when my first son was about to be born. Now, I'm fortunate enough to be able to buy it back from him. Should be picking it up next week. Minerva blue with linen interior dark blue top. 54k miles. Not a 964.

Anyway, when I was looking it over I noticed there were some adhesive residue on the cab window, left over from a temporary license plate when my brother in law registered it. Any advice on how to remove it without damaging the window? Thanks in advance, and I will post pictures once I have it.

I've used turtle wax lens restorer to clean up and polish my rear window with great results. It removes the oxidation so it might remove the adhesive as well. Just a thought. Proceed with caution.

I have used vaseline to remove old tape residue from fine wood finishes. I think it would be safe for you. Put it on and let is sit for a day or so, then clean up with soft toweling, and soapy water.
Good luck,
Dave
