Thanks for all the input. Just picked it up today. Unfortunately, not for me, but for my brother in law. I get to help him get it perfect. :-)

For $20k that is a steal. You both should be in jail. Where are you guys shopping?

At $20k, you probably should have bought the other one, too.

Trust me, If I could've winged buying either of them, I would've. Just for the investment alone. But I don't have any room to properly store it, nor do I have the $$$$$$. I know it'd be safe money to go pull a loan, but W/O any room in garage, I can't. Again, thanks for all of the insight. Now I'll have a regular, to go play in the hills with :-)
I'll be able to keep an eye on him, in my rearview mirror :-)

So I am looking to help start the (hopefully very slippery slope, because it's not my money) trek into getting this thing where it needs to be. I think suspension first. Looking at Elephant Racing to source all bushings. What else (suspension wise), other than struts should I tell my brother in law he needs? Also what the hell were they thinking with a female 17mm Allen plug on the trans? I wanted to R&R his gear oil, but don't have an Allen socket that big.

Slow your roll, man. Drive the car a few hundred miles, see what it really needs. Drive it a few thousand and see what it could use. Drive it for years and get it just they way you want it. It's probably time for your bro-in-law to learn about Internet Forums.

Unless there is no corrosion, be careful of that bolt. It is likely to strip.

I understand going slow, but I have been under the car and checked it over as best as I could. Everything is original. All of the bushings are shot. That's why I want to do the "re-bush" and struts, at the least. I will be doing as much as possible for him regarding work that I can do. He became a member and has followed and search plenty already. Yeah the plug doesn't look bad and I'm sure I just need to stay square on it and get a good first crack. And yes I know, get the fill loose first. :-)
Also, not looking to make fundamental changes, just to restore integrity to suspension.
