Agreed! Cars are to be driven, not to be mothballed with 0-miles and treated as "objects d'art". What if a car has 300k miles and then has an engine rebuild? As long as a car is maintained and is in proper running order it should have the same value as the same age car parked permanently in a garage leaking oil. Miles seems to be an American obsession, not an issue for European car enthusiasts and collectors.

Agree as well. I wanted a driver that I wasn't worried about adding miles or getting a small chip in the paint. The PO's took very good care of this car, every time I drive it I can't believe it has as many miles.

Wow looks awesome! I'm partial to white '86 Carrera's!

Looking at your pics, I realize what my car needs... sport seats, wider fuchs with a low stance, and the laid-back style headlights (not sure the technical term here... mine are H4 but sugar scoop style... these are euro h4?) really make the car!

As for that annoying shift light (which comes on just as things get fun), I disconnected it.

I'm not sure about the headlights, they were on the car when I purchased it. I do agree that they look a little better. Maybe someone can chime in on the differences.
I like your avatar. I'm planning a track day later in January.

Thanks! The avatar pic was taken at Calabogie Motorsports Park... NW of Ottawa, Ontario. Fun track, very technical. Probably a bit far from Cali, and a bit cold right now!

You will fall in love with your car all over again once you take it to the track. It blew my mind what these cars are actually capable of!

The headlights you have are the proper (non-sealed Hella) European headlights. I would not change them. The US cars had a sealed headlight (dictated at that time by the DOT) with scoop like frames, which should promptly be changed to the European original design.

You may want to check the condition of your headlight reflectors and halogen bulbs.

Good looking car! My '89 Targa, also white, has that silly shift light. If it is on you need to either floor it or brake hard.
