Default 1973 911 Bumper Guards

Were all of the '73 911's produced with the same bumper guards, or were some actually produced with guards similar to what the '72's came with? Seems quite plausible that Porsche had some '72 parts left over after production switched over to the '73 models and they were used up on the early '73 911T's.

I think that 1973 was a change over year, at least here in the states because of the new bumper laws and rear end NTSB front and rear bumper impact laws.

change over may not been as abrupt on ROW cars.

The ROW cars were built w/o the fuggly rubber things. I think many folks removed the factory rubber things. You might want to post this on the early S and see but the 5 MPH bumpers were a DOT regulation and I doubt Porsche could have imported 73's in US w/o correct bumpers.
