Default Are there banks that finance these old of cars?

I'm curious. Are there banks that finance old air cooled's like the SC's and 3.2's? Who are they and what are the usual terms?

I got 2.3%. They end up doing non-secured loans. So the car is yours regardless.

Pen Fed will finance any car as long as it's not over 100,000 miles For 5 years. 100,000-125,000 2 years. Need to be a veteran or government employee or family to be a member.

I had no problem with my locally owned bank. I think it was like 6.5% up to $21,000 towards my '88

Pen fed has the loan on my 2007 honda odyssey and my 1978 911sc. Rate is hard to beat.

While it may be necessary to finance a DD, never finance a weekend toy.

I disagree with Parker….my credit union owned me money at 2.49% on my 911sc….why would i ever tie up the capital?

Exactly. When someone will loan you money at 2 to 3 percent....it's almost always better than tying up a ton of cash.

Plus with LightStream, they put no lien on the title. You are free to sell easily if needed.

That may be true if you actually have a "...ton of cash..." that you are in fact investing. But, in my over 30 years as a Porsche and Ferrari owner, I have seen too many people finance a week-end toy car because they could not afford to pay cash. By the way, how much cash does one need for it to weigh a ton...and wouldn't that amount depend on the number and/or particular denomination of the bills? A ton of $1.00 bills would be a lot less than a ton of $100.00 bills...and how about coins...they are much heavier.
