Also found the cause of a knock in the rear - keeps spitting out the sway bar bush.

Going for 10mm lower. No problems with rubbing at the track with 205-50's on 7" rims so these should be fine running lower than that
can you adjust ride height with just the allen wrench?

Yes, the rear Spring plates are adjustable versions (not stock) and the front torsion bars have a nut that can wind the front up or down. Can change the ride height in 10 minutes.

well, wow, what else can i say, aside from wow, and want... how hard would it be to produce and sell something like that, though i guess once you get it where you want it there wouldn't be too much up and down...still, nice mod, was it hard to do, the whole application?

Hi, these are available from many vendors. Not entirely sure where mine came from but no doubt the USA somewhere. The rear Spring plates are a straight bolt on replacement and the front torsion bar adjusters come standard like that from the factory.

Even though the T is finished, there is still a lot to do that makes little improvements.
It's a bit hard to paint the visible door edges black now so some auto vinyl wrap will do for a while. Door panel welting beads in place also. The window winder was a bit ugly with the plastic on so that came off and the rough casting cleaned up a bit. Looks more in tune with the intent of the car now

I've spent the last couple of days reading your thread Dave (I think), and it's been a great read.
You obviously have some great skills and the patience to push through with your idea, I mean who finds a away to produce their own embossed leather......
Anyway Orange T looks fantastic.

I have a couple of my own projects, the first a 964, which is in the through or a rebuild after I had a bit of an off at SPA. It should be back on the road, then come the Autmn, it will be in for an interesting engine build and interior refresh.

The second project is closer to Orange T.
It's a 912 already modified with a 2.7. It's in the US but winging its way to the UK any day now.
I'll see how it runs and drives, then the plans will come forth.
New interior is top of the list with I hope some personal touches.

Hi StuartQ

Thanks for your kind comments. I hope you post some good photo's and details of the 912 and your 964 gets well soon. The 'ring and Spa are two places that I'd love to drive in a 911 before I kick the bucket. I spend way too much time on YouTube watching old 911's hammer it through Eau Rouge.
A small group of us went for a drive a few Sunday's ago and I got to drive my old 964C2 again. I now have a 204BHP SC and the '70 T and find them both remarkably different to the 964. Hard to explain but the 964 is obviously more capable but the old ones certainly have driver engagement nailed.

I've had the T on the road now for about 4 months and so far so good. A minor exploration into the gearbox is underway to sort a difficult first to second but other than that it works as intended; starts first time and takes a beating. I've finished most small jobs and recently removed the decals. Next step will probably be a PORSCHE script along the side and start playing with wheel spacers a bit. Other than that, 2500 miles so far, plenty of stone chips and a lot of fun. End of May four of us have a coast to coast trip planned. If you live in Auckland as I do then east coast to west coast is as narrow as a few kilometres in places so we have to travel down the island where it is a bit fatter to make a good drive of it. 1800 kms in all so that should be a challenge in the T. Not going to soften up and take the SC. There will be three 964's along, my old C2, a C4 and a Turbo so I need the T to keep up with that lot.

Here is a shot of the wife and I taking both cars down the island to leave the T in the workshop for the gearbox work and some minor works on the SC.

I have to say that I am at last at peace with my 911 selection. (Except I'd love to get a 930 turbo!)

No, battery is dead which is the only reason I'm not fanging it around the neighbourhood. I quite like having 3 Porsches in my garage.
