Default Needing Guidance

Talk about a bad Friday, I took my 1982 911sc widebody to have the tinit redone as the 25 year old tint was looking bad. I prefer to not have tint but running the car with no AC, and having children I needed the reduction in heat. Here is where the problem starts....
The tint shop apparently drained the battery so the tech hooked up cables and crossed them and fried the battery upon trying to jump start it. I am now dealing with the owner of the shop which has accepted all responsibility. He has agreed to make this right and fix any issues that came about, my concerns is what do I need to look for now? and possibly in the future? what kind of damage did this cause?

A very close shop that works on porsche's agreed to look at it and came to the conclusion that the alternator or the voltage regulator got fried, and possibly both. He will not know until he get's into the engine and starts to dig deeper, he has already ordered a new alternator and voltage regulator for my car.

I tested all other electrical and everything seems to be fine and working, lights / turn signals / sunroof / brake lights/ side mirrors.
The only other item not working is the stereo that I noticed.

Any help and guidance on what to look for would be greatly appreciated, this car is my baby and sits in the garage 95% of the time and only comes out on the weekends so needless to say I am horrified.

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago and after replacing both there were no subsequent problems. Good luck!
