Mufflers Options? What do you have?
Hi,
I'm starting a conversion on my '88 3.2 from the stock set up to a pair of no heat exchangers direct 3 to 1 exhaust system, and was wondering what is the preferred choice of mufflers.
Today I've seen (heard) a dual exhaust stainless steel from Dansk that sounded great. Maybe a bit to loud, but sweet.
Is this the way to go, or would you suggest something else?
Thanks!
Rodrigo.

I've had Fabspeed mufflers and headers with my 89 when it was a 3.2 and now as well with the 3.6 transplant, the sound is not overbearing but there is some droning between 2 and 3 K rpms ...
Fabspeed is on the expensive end though,it all depends on how much you want to spend !
Cheers

I have an 1987 3.2 with the original DME / ECU installed in my 1972.
I went with the Dansk Sport muffler, 2 in 2 out with 1-5/8" Bursch headers,
(no heat exchangers).
The sound is nice, throaty with no drone.

My Fabspeed cat bypass and duel output sounds great! People "positively" comment on it all the time..........

It's like a maze in there!
There is actually two skins welded together.
I took some of the maze out so there's shorter distance to travel.
I blocked of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) port as not required down here.
And I changed the exit to the right hand side of the car
