Default Front seat removal

I know this should be easy, but I'm having difficulty removing the front seats of my 84 911. The bolts are actually metric hex key design and the front bolts are ok to get at if the seat is in full back position. In full forward position, they are still under the seat and I cannot get enough clearance to get a hex wrench on them. Is there a trick I am missing? I am trying to take the drivers seat for a mild re-padding. I appreciate the help.

No, you are just slightly screwed. I took an allen key and ground the short arm down so it is very short, then turn the bolt 1/4 turn at a time until you can finger turn it.
Good luck,
Dave

Slide the seat forward to do the rear bolts and then back to get at the front bolts. Short ratchet allen or Allen head from screwdriver and turn it with a ring wrench.
