Default Help valuing a '79 Targa

I've owned 964s and a 993... and have no idea what the market is like right now for a 1979 targa. I'm trying to help my business partner sell. The car is Minerva Blue with black leather, just turned 111k miles, has a very minor oil drip, fresh service and full detail. The only problem that I am aware of is a syncro problem that requires the driver to massage the car into second gear - he has driven it for 12-15 years without grinding the gears. Otherwise, it's all original paint and straight, clean and attractive. A/C parts are in a box.

Any thoughts on a price to start? Since he's committed to selling, he just assumes it go before incurring winter storage costs. Car is located in Vermont and has been a local car since new, garaged and stored each winter.

Thanks.

Sounds like a decent buy, well cared for less than average mileage driven during spring and
summer months only if it can stand up to PPI review with compression and leakdown
within reasonable numbers it's easily a $15k to $17.5k example maybe more if no dash cracks or seat tears and good clean carpets...Bert
