No start after an extended drive
I'm experiencing a no start after the car has been driven for an extended period. The car cranks but won't start. If I let it cool down for an hour or two it starts without any issue. The car is a 1985 carrera. Any ideas?

When this occurs turn the key to 'RUN' then go back to the engine bay and see if the idle control valve is humming and vibrating. The valve is directly in front of the Throttle plate. This test will tell us if the DME is alive.
The other possibilities are:
- Fuel vapor lock
- Faulty reference sensor that acts up when hot, ref and speed sensors are on the crack.
- I'd also test for spark when the failure occurs.
- Faulty DME relay
