Default Central Locking Control Module

My central locking does work on my 89 911. I have read up on possible issues and am contemplating my next move. My question was, does anyone know of a service where you can have the control modules tested. There are a few indications that the module may be bad, but the replacement is 500+. Thanks

I have the complete set up that I took out of my 87 911. It worked fine, but I was taking out the center console so I had no where to mount it. Email me at jessgr01@luther.edu if you are interested.

Don't get the FIFY reference. Yes, I'm a newbie, so please help me out.
