Reposting. I'll take guesses regarding the locking issue at this point. Help please. Here is the original post and a few additional questions.

Just bought car. Having a few electrical issues. The one I would like to resolve first is that locking with key from either driver or passenger side sets off alarm so I cannot lock car. She has central locking. Any advise. Thanks

Other questions - yes I'm a newbie, so forgive me.
- Best leather cleaning product?
- Best vinyl clearing product,
- AC is original and I see that the fuse has been removed. Is this best way to disable AC until I can get an assessment or decide to forget it all together. I have already researched retroair, but no cash left this year.
- Tips on diagnosing wiper fluid failure - don't hear anything.
- How difficult was it to replace odometer gear (for those who have done it).
