Default little black "Porsche sprinkles"?!!?

on the right side of the engine bay, by the oil filter is a pile of little shiny black "sprinkles." Any idea what they might be?! I'll get a picture online soon.

Thanks everyone!!

Is it lined up with the belts like a case seal is leaking and the oil is spraying outwards.? Perhaps lube from inside the A/C lines is dripping. ...or drips from the decklid prop shock. Is the oil filter leaking? .....or is it just rat crap? Maybe a belt is coming apart. Pictures are a great idea. Something is lost in translation.

What is the condition of your engine sound pad on the firewall? When they get old and crumbly, the crumbs look a lot like shiny black sprinkles. At least mine did.

They maybe coming from your charcoal vapor canister. Depending on your engine (if you have a 3.2) I would also look in your air intake to see if you have any in there.

she's a 3.0 (SC), none in the air intake.

I'll check the charcoal canister. What would be the reason for this to happen?
