installing the Momo 07 made a night and day difference. The extra inches closer to the driver are very noticable

flexbert,

Could you please take a side photo showing the eccentric adapter?

Thanks!

Here is mine. Not exactly side view, but almost (welll.. 45 degrees or something). In this photo I have only eccentric adapter, but now I have both eccentric and normal adapters installed. Eccentric offset is ~1cm and both adapters are ~1/2" thick. I have plans to exchange that normal adapter to thicker one at some point to bring the wheel closer and especially more away from my right knee.

Here's a Momo I bought for mine quite a while ago. I'll fit it one day.

Default Eccentric adapter owners

Thanks for the two photos guys, I'm very tempted to get one as well but one question. Does it feel strange to have the center point of the wheel change as you turn the wheel?

Thank you

The original 3 spoke wheels are 25mm shorter from the shaft to the bottom as they are from the shaft to the top.
So I suppose the spacers just bring them back to standard.

I don't notice it, other than if I make the effort to actually watch the steering wheel as I am turning it. And really, you shouldn't be watching the steering wheel when driving ....

The four spoke stock wheel on my car came standard with an offset upwards already i.e. the spline that attaches to the steering shaft is below the centre line of the wheel. To quote the JWest site (http://www.jwesteng.com/shop/index.p...roller=product), "Offsets the steering wheel 12mm upward and 16mm rearward. A similar offset is used on many factory 911 and 944 steering wheels". So, their eccentric actually makes the momo wheels have a similar offset in the vertical plane as the stock - that's my experience. The other advantage, IMHO, of the eccentric adapter is the offset rear wards, so the wheel is closer to the driver.

No. The original 3-spoke SC wheel is offset vertically as well.
