So, anybody get any "new" cars, or projects in the last day or so??

I just discovered another set of strut inserts buried in the car that say Bilstein Sports. Thank You Ed.
It's going to be interesting to see how many times I put it together and take it apart. Here I am putting on the control arms and the rack and pinion are still on the bench. Already getting ahead of myself.
I'm just gonna park this right here for future use.

After an hour of driving the cab up in the hills I've gotten to work. Nothing too crazy hard.
I'd suggest having fine sandpaper handy for cleaning up the holes used for the ball joint. Polished up the ball pin and the strut hole as well as the bolt hole. I've got a round arbor that holds circular sandpaper that is perfect for inside holes. Everything went together with a bit of pounding with the dead blow hammer.

A bit of a side project.
Helped out a buddy with some turbo tie rods. Not sure I was much help, but it was fun.
That one over there on the side is a showroom clean Delorean.

and you lucky bastards with 12 months of perfect weather [(minus a couple earthquakes, Santa Ana's, fire and brimstone and the odd epic swells (like this week)] for working on cars.

It will be three months the end of this week but it is beginning to be worth it. Complete re-paint (same colors but bolder side striping). Found some non structural rust starting as well as some partial repaints over the years and the associated door dings. So off came the doors, fenders, bumpers etc and all glass and the re-paint. While it was apart we did some upgrades such as brakes and a few other small things including all new rubber seals. Hope to have it back next week. Rather poor phone picture

I bought a 1977 Sc,52,000 miles, that has a WRX STI turbo 2.5 rally engine in it,the car is plumbed and drives off a new 915 trans. The car needs totally rewired as its a mess, how long should I allow for a total rewiring of the car?Can the Porsche gauges be used, has anyone ever seen this conversion before? Running 10 boost the car dynos at 310 RWHP,suspension has been upgraded,weltmeister,295's on the rear so the car is tight, corners exceptionally well.Any advice appreciateed. Tks Will
