Purchased a 69 race car with title. Problem, vin plate on car is gone and am trying to find on the tub in any other place. Any hints? Not that important, but would be nice.

On a 69 there isn't really a vin plate. The plate on the drivers door jamb is a paint code plate...The vin numbers are stamped on the tub above the smugglers box in the front trunk...there is another stamping of the vin number on the metal dashboard in the middle of the dash at the bottom, remove the knee pad and you will see it.

The serial number is sometimes written in crayon on the top of the metal dashboard. You would have to remove the dash pad to see it.

They all have VIN plates, they belong next to the front hood latch, at the left side when you look from the front at the car.
