Default Child Booster Seat help...

Hi all,

I know there are lots of old threads about this topic, but all of the seats I find mention of are retired.

I just installed rear shoulder belts in my '87 and now I'm in the hunt for a child booster seat that will fit. Anyone have some good recommendations?

thanks!

Jim

Jim,

I've had the same issue, both with fitting a booster and outdated postings :-) when I was looking for a solution for my -08 Turbo Convertible. Porsche's own seat didnt' even fit.

I found a booster seat that has a very narrow base which solved the problem, depending on your childs size/age. My daughter is 7 now, but it worked fo her when she was 5 as well.

I installed 3 pointbelts in the back of my 87 targa. I then took one of the booster seats I had and measured out a template of the sides in the rear seats. Then I took my dremel tool and just sliced the sides of the booster seat to fit perfectly. I cleaned up the edges so they were smooth.

Default not quite right

The booster that fit so well in the Turbo doesn't fit that well in the 911. The seat is way to short (the booster hangs out). This may very well be an issue for any booster... The narrow width of the base works well.
