ninemeister 17 in fuchs. what is max size on an SC?
HI Guys,
a question for wheel experts:
I am debating between Rota fox and Euromeister Fuch replicas, in 17 in.
rotas are 7.5 fr and 9 rear , and do work for SCs.
As for euromeister, what do you guys recon is the largest one I can put on SC?
8 or 9 for the front?
9 or 10 for the back?
I ll most likely use 205x50 r17 at the front and 225x45 r17 or 250x40 r17at the back.
Thanks!
Matt

8 or 9 for the front?
9 or 10 for the back?
too big for a standard SC
I think 7's and 9's are as big as you can squeeze in there
I am almost 100% sure i would not buy a 17 fake fuch for a classic 911
too many real ones available at about the same cost - plus they are sized for the car

Big problem is tire selection has become very limted for the 16"s.

9 ET15-12 for the rear of an SC/Carrera 255/40x 17 tires
the above are easy fits
In front you can use a 235/ or 245/ tire w/ lots of extra work but unless you are looking for the last tenth of a second on track it's not worth it
in back you can get 9.5 ET19 but there is no wiggle room on the ET w/ up to a 275/ or 285/ tire again lot's of extra work required and probably not worth it for most people.
As always a shorter tire is easier to fit than a tall one
