Default My 1966 911 Coupe Polo Red Hot Rod Style

Figured I'd share a few pics of my project and its current state

Mod List

1966 Porsche 911
VIN: 304417

Exterior:
All body work done by Malibu Body and Paint, San Diego.
All rust removed from car! (minor rusting in the battery box was cut out and fixed, as well as a few other minor spots.
Fresh Paint in Polo Red (under 100 miles)
Entire car was blasted and undercoated
All new seals except for rear window seal
Shaved Trim
Shaved front bumperettes
Factory Foglight covers
Euro H4 Headlights
Painted trim ring
Blacked out all chrome mouldings.
Orange Bar hood badge!!
Porsche Gruppe R inspired side decal
Tinted rear window, and side windows.
14x5.5 Fuchs alloys finished in Satin black with BRAND new Falken tires
Powder coated hood grill, decklid grill, windshield wiper arms, rear bumperettes in black.
New Axles and boots
Resplined torsion bars to get the 'hot rod' ride height.
Chrome exhaust extended and angled exhaust tip
OEM tail lights and corner lights

Interior:
Custom stainless steel door sills with Porsche emblem.
New Carpet Kit
New vinyl door panels
SC Front Seats
Front and rear seats recovered in black
Factory Porsche seat belts (VERY RARE)
OEM radio blockoff plate
Original Wood Dash
1968 gauges
Aftermarket steering wheel
OEM shift ****
Short shift kit

Engine/Trans
1973.5 911 T motor tuned by Dieter's SD
Compression numbers great! And available.
Brand new battery.
Runs Great! Very very quick!
Factory 5 spd 901 transmission rebuilt with shorter gears. (receipt for over $2000)
Short Shift kit
Clutch and flywheel replaced.
Later Fuel tank
Later oil tank

I'll have to disagree. I think the 5.5 in Fuchs and as wide a tire as can be put on them is the perfect look for this 911. Keeping it old school, narrow-body style.

If t were stock, I'd have to agree with you, but with the clean front end, the height, and the leftover space to the fender lips, to my eye, it seems to be a bit out of balance to me. I want to clarify, I think it is beautiful, and reds of that shade are tops in my book!

I'm gonna guess that we are seeing Mission Bay in the background of the 3rd and 5th shots.....that, and his paint was done in San Diego...
