I *have* to post such a positive experience with Steve D @ Ultimate Garage. On Wednesday, I ordered a set of four ESCO jackstands on-line. Having already spoken to Steve about these in the week prior, I knew that the shipping was indeed $15/pair (as shown in the link below), not the $10 flat-rate on the e-commerce site.

I expected to get them early this coming week. WRONG! They arrived on THURSDAY, very-well packaged and in fine shape.

I dont believe that your post is from the same Steve. I have known Steve D of Ultimate Garage since 1972. We used to work on cars together in college. In the 80's I used to go to his house in Emerson NJ, where he still lives, to buy Bimmer parts for my 2002, 528, and M3. Steve is a good guy and VERY laid back. I doubt that he is spamming, or has someone doing on his behalf.

I didn't mean to disparage Steve, he may have a great company. But the post smacks of a setup-like the clarification on freight costs on these. If I wasn't on my phone for this, I'd insert the roll eyes icon here.

I have never met Phil and he did purchase a set of stands from me last week. I think he was happy that I had them in stock and he got them next day. Neither one of us is trying to spam the list.

I've done several group buy sales for Rennlist members over the years and helped some Porsche owners create some nice garages. I've been in business for over 30 years and at this stage in my life, don't have the time or desire to spam any forums to move product. Steve D

I have NO affiliation with Steve, nor with his firm, other than that of a satisfied customer. I did indeed initially post my kudos on Pelican, but then was made aware that Pelican sells the same thing, so in the interest of not disrespecting the host there deleted any mention of Ultimate. Sheesh, lighten up!

Dude, before you come on here and say lighten up, take a step back and read your post. Like I said, the mention/clarification of freight costs smacks of a setup. All you needed was your first sentence, in the disclaimer you made here. We don't come here to get "sold to", and don't need to be told to lighten up.
