"BURNING RUBBER" How much HP required?
#76
This is hilarious. How can someone consider putting someone in jail for doing a burnout. I better be careful out there. Just wanted to chime in... I have a stock 82 SC with R compound tires, and I can do plenty of burnouts just fine.

Are you sure that isn't your clutch?

When I had stock suspension, Toyo tires, and a chip I could leave rubber on the ground if I was already up and rolling. Usually just got wheel hop and shut her down.
Now, with nice stiff suspension, R tires, and no chip I don't think I could spin anything but my clutch.

Your car is in Canadia....that explains a lot..

... hard to lay strips on ice. Lots of wheelspin... no black marks

I could do that all day for the first several years. Now with the better shocks, coilover springs, drop links, R compound tires, correct camber, spring plate bushings and such, the car stays connected. The LSD wants to lock up, but for the most part I would have to really want to break it loose to kick it out. Before, the back end was just a sloppy mess and went out without notice.
